The latest patch 7.0.3 for World of Warcraft is here – the era of “Legion” begins. We reveal what changes for the players.
New Talents, New Abilities, New Game Feel
Last night, the era of Warlords of Draenor ended – at least a little bit. The Patch 7.0.3 for World of Warcraft has already implemented all necessary data for the upcoming expansion “WoW: Legion” into the game. Those who log into the game after the server maintenance, which lasts until around 11 AM, will notice several changes, such as numerous new quality-of-life features and a variety of new talents, mechanics, and animations.
Those with a clothing fetish or who simply enjoy collecting will be satisfied with the new wardrobe. From now on, the appearance of armor can be saved without needing to keep the items in the bank. The best part: it works account-wide. Once unlocked, “templates” can be used through transmogrification. Especially veterans with many old sets should now have space in their bags again.
PvP players can start to get comfortable with the new normalization mechanic. In battlegrounds and arenas, the character’s stats are now dependent on the chosen specialization and are only minimally influenced by equipment. This aims to enable a fairer PvP experience.
In the coming weeks, the invasion of the Legion will begin, with various areas of Azeroth being plagued by demons. Shortly thereafter, the starting area for demon hunters will be playable for all pre-orderers. Ultimately, these innovations will culminate in the release of the expansion “Legion” on August 30.
