The next patch for World of Warcraft is approaching. We will tell you when update 7.1.5 will be released and what it brings.
For several weeks now, the Battle.net launcher has started downloading data for the next patch of World of Warcraft in the background. Now Blizzard has finally announced a date on which patch 7.1.5 will be released to the players.
Patch 7.1.5 will be released on January 11 in Europe, while in America it will come on January 10 due to earlier maintenance.
The patch is not a “full update” with new dungeons or raids, but just a small interim patch that aims to address the main issues of the player base.
The focus of the new features is on comprehensive changes to class balance. Especially shadow priests and hunters can expect some changes to their core mechanics. For all classes, the weighting of secondary stats will also change. Critical strike chance, mastery, and haste should now be in much better balance, so that not only one combination of stats per class is attractive.
Furthermore, the patch brings many small quality of life improvements, such as easier artifact knowledge for twinks or a new timewalking event for Mists of Pandaria. Finally, there is the newly established Brawler’s Guild and the introduction of micro-holidays, which can be considered mere fun.
In line with the release of the newest patch, the developers at Blizzard have released a new “Survival Guide” update that briefly informs you about the most important changes:
