Patch 11.2.7 has brought a lot of new content for World of Warcraft. We will let you know what you should focus on today.
Today (December 3, 2025), Patch 11.2.7 was released for World of Warcraft. Although it sounds like a minor patch according to the version number, the update is full of new features and content that you can complete. Some game content is even important for the upcoming expansion Midnight to understand the story links.
If you are unsure what to focus on in the coming days, we have a little overview of the highlights that you can turn to first.
“The Warning” – Prologue for Midnight
In terms of story, the most important content is probably the new campaign. It serves as the prologue to the Midnight expansion. You experience how Vereesa encounters some strange visions and then tries to contact her sisters. In this questline, you will also meet Sylvanas again and learn what she has been doing all these years in the Maw.
The questline is not particularly long, and you can comfortably play through it in one evening. Then you will be up to date and ready for Midnight.
Lorewalking – The History of the Blood Elves
If you visit Lorewalker Cho in the capitals (Darnassus, Stormwind, or Orgrimmar), he has a new story for you. You have the opportunity to play through the past of the Blood Elves and relive the key events in Quel’thalas. Major events, such as the Scourge’s attack with Arthas, as well as the separation of the Void Elves can be recalled, allowing you to refresh your knowledge about the Elves.
If you think you are already a Blood Elf pro, maybe our quiz on Quel’thalas is something for you.
Turbulent Timeways
With Patch 11.2.7, the Turbulent Timeways are also back. In this event, there is a timewalking each week that entices with special buffs and rewards. A stackable buff grants increasingly more experience points. If you max out the buff over several weeks, a fancy mount awaits at the end.
Furthermore, the event features timewalking for Shadowlands for the first time. If you have missed the old dungeons, you can now revisit them and receive some cool cosmetic items from the new vendor.
Heritage Armor of the Pandaren
For a long time, the fuzzy noodle soup destroyers had to wait for their own heritage armor, but it is finally here. Pandaren can accept a new questline and journey back to the starting point of their journey.
At the end, a pretty cool armor set awaits, especially suited for monks – but all other Pandaren will likely be pleased with it as well.
Housing – Go wild as long as you want
The biggest feature is for everyone who has pre-ordered Midnight. Because starting today, you can access housing, set up your own home, join neighborhoods, and prove to all your friends that you own the coolest undead crypt or the coziest pandaren bar. We have all the information about housing here.
If you haven’t bought Midnight yet, don’t worry: While you cannot build your own house, you can already visit your fellow players in their houses. Additionally, you will be able to collect furniture and other decorations.
Some of the coolest rewards are available for quests and achievements that you can already complete now, like these 10 cool housing decorations.
What else is coming? If you want a little more PvE action, you have to wait another week. Because the fighting guild will open again for a new season on December 10. Many of the familiar fights from previous seasons will be included, but also some new features, like additional effects (essentially “affixes”) that you can activate in the battles for new rewards.
What will you fill your evening in World of Warcraft with today? Are you taking a close look at housing? Or are you excited about the new story quests and how the transition to the next expansion Midnight will unfold? After all, how we view a great hero of the Alliance is changing…
