Factions are becoming important again in World of Warcraft. Those who want can now farm reputation “endlessly” and receive new rewards.
With Patch 7.2 in World of Warcraft, the current factions of the Broken Isles will receive an upgrade. “Exalted” will no longer be the limit, as players can continue to earn reputation with a faction beyond that.
For many players, farming reputation is a necessity. At least with one character, players want to reach “exalted” reputation with all factions to gain rewards such as special recipes, pets, toys, or transmog gear.
Once the exalted reputation is achieved, however, the factions and their world quests quickly lose their appeal. Blizzard has noticed this, which is why in WoW Patch 7.2, the limitations on reputation farming have been removed.
Once a character is exalted, they can continue to earn reputation for a faction!
Every 20,000 reputation points, the character will receive a new reward in the form of a box. Depending on the faction where reputation is collected, this box can contain different rare items. Almost all factions have a special mount in the box, but with the Wardens, there is a toy that transforms you into a Warden!
Important: If you are still receiving “reputation tokens” from class hall missions, you should save them to gain a small advantage when Patch 7.2 launches.
Cortyn says: I hardly think the boxes will be a big motivation for most players to run all world quests non-stop now. However, collectors of mounts (like me) will think twice about whether to spend another half hour slaying monsters in the evening. Therefore, I think it is – in principle – a good idea to make more from the reputation factions, as long as they remain a nice bonus and not a mandatory grind.
In Patch 7.2, the legendary items will also be further revised.
