Guild Wars 2 is currently a little bit of a headache for NC Soft. Guild Wars 2 has a unique model for storytelling. The Living Story is told through smaller updates that are periodically released. Although there was an initial expansion with Heart of Thorns, the MMORPG is currently not very convincing.
It has many interesting ideas, especially regarding quests and storylines. Additionally, the separate PvP system is well thought out.
Guild Wars 2 is actually well-suited for a port to PS4 and Xbox One due to its combat system. Perhaps the current weakness phase is also due to not having appeared on consoles. In comparison, the competitor “The Elder Scrolls Online” has been a success story since its port to PS4 and Xbox One.
For Guild Wars 2, a port to PS4 and Xbox One does not seem out of the question – but there are no signals in that direction. And time is running out for the title.
