Life in World of Warcraft is frustrating when players beg or insult you in LFR. Please follow these rules.
The LFR mode in World of Warcraft is a good opportunity to get gear. Unfortunately, there are always players who spread negative vibes. These players have become particularly noticeable since it became possible to trade gear with other players. Since then, the atmosphere in LFR is often toxic.
Because some WoW gamers believe they have a right to the loot of others or that they should receive it as a gift if they are just annoying enough.
On this topic, Reddit user octnoir has now set out guidelines that boil down to: Don’t annoy others if you want their loot.
It’s About Respect and Gratitude
With these seven rules, it should be friendlier in LFR in the future, as long as players adhere to them (which is questionable). After all, octnoir believes in the good in the WoW community and shared these rules on Reddit, which received a lot of support.
- It’s my loot, I can decide what to do with it. It’s my choice if I’d rather sell the item to a vendor or use it for a Chaos Crystal. You should be grateful if I decide to give you a piece.
- Starting a trade outright is rude. Saying “GIVE ME THE ITEM” is even ruder. Starting a vote kick afterward is sneaky. Harassing me in-game afterward goes too far and should result in a ban. If you see such behavior, you should report these players.
- When I farm my transmog pieces in LFR, that’s my business. I like my transmogs.
- There are many ways to get gear, and LFR is not the “only chance” for that. Mythic+ is good enough. Going through normal raids with your guild is sufficient as well. It’s surprising how many players claim they “need” certain pieces, even though there are much more efficient ways to improve their gear.
- Don’t roll on items that you can’t wear. Anyone rolling cloth as a DK just wants to boost their iLvl. It’s better to give it to the mage who can actually use it. Even if you won the roll, the mage can probably make much better use of it.
- I can decide who I want to give the gear to. No matter who wins the roll! I can still give it to a guild member if I choose to do so.
- Sometimes it happens that items cannot be traded. Even if you won the roll, there can be issues with distribution. It’s pointless to insult me afterward for it.
