We will tell you how to get the hidden artifact weapon skins of the Paladin in World of Warcraft.
In World of Warcraft: Legion, the artifact weapons not only have a variety of different designs, but also a few hidden skins – each specialization has its own. We will tell you where to get the special skins for the three specializations of the Paladin.
Holy – Guardian’s Might
Paladins who have dedicated themselves to healing can theoretically easily obtain their alternative weapon skins. They simply need to have an artifact knowledge level of 5 and can then slay demons in Azsuna (especially good in Faronaar). The alternative skin can drop from any demon and strongly resembles Reinhardt’s hammer from Overwatch.
Protection – Defender’s Bulwark
Protection warriors do not require a special knowledge level, but have only a chance every 3 days to obtain the skin “Defender’s Bulwark”. This may be contained in the largest reward chest in the scenario with the Withered Army. This means that at least the Suramar quest line must be completed up to the unlocking of the scenario.
Retribution – Corrupted Remembrance
Retribution Paladins should brace themselves because anyone wanting the especially cool corrupted design of the Ashbringer must put in a lot of work. First, an artifact knowledge level of 5 is required to complete all steps. After that, you must go through many steps:
- Collect the two “Nat Pagle” books. Nat Pagle’s Guide to Extreme Angling drops in the PvP area Alterac Valley when you loot dead opponents. A worn copy of “Nat Pagle’s Guide to Extreme Angling” can be found in the dungeon Duskwood. There you will find several “Dusty Codexes” that may contain the coveted book.
- Defeat Nefarian in Blackwing Lair and loot his head. Keep the head in your inventory and do not turn in the quest, otherwise you will have to get the head again the following week.
- Talk to Sister Elda in your Order Hall, she will exchange your books for a new variant.
- Travel back to Duskwood (West Quarter) and talk to Prince Tortheldrin.
- The journey continues to Herdweiler at the coordinates 42/19 (Western Plaguelands). Read Grand Inquisitor Isillien’s Diary (it is in the same room as the NPC High Cleric Alphus).
- Defeat Greater Muck in the Western Plaguelands (69/46, right by the river). The muck has a long respawn time, so this may take a while. Loot Timolain’s Phylactery from the muck.
- Use the phylactery, talk to the lich Timolain, and click through all dialogue options.
- Fish in the river (next to the muck) until you catch a Shard of Darkness. This may also take a while. Your fishing skill is irrelevant.
- Return to your Order Hall and talk to Lord Maxwell Tyrosus, who will then give you a quest. If he is not there, you have just been sent on a mission.
- Fly from the Dalaran flight master to Acherus (on the Broken Isles) and complete the quest. Done!
