WoW: Legion – Release Countdown – this is when it starts!

Only a few hours left until the release of World of Warcraft: Legion. Our countdown reveals when the start shot will be fired.

The moment that WoW fans have been waiting for over a year is finally within reach. The last hours of Warlords of Draenor have begun! In just a few hours, those who have purchased the expansion World of Warcraft: Legion will rush to the Broken Isles to level their artifact weapons and themselves, showing the Burning Legion that Azeroth is not yet completely lost.

According to current plans from Blizzard, the launch of the expansion will start punctually at midnight, around 0:00 on August 30. By the way, with this timing, we are earlier than the Americans, who will get the launch of WoW Legion 9 hours later.

A small note: Even though Blizzard has stated that the expansion starts at midnight, there have frequently been cases in previous addons where the actual launch occurred a bit earlier. This is to prevent Blizzard from experiencing massive spikes in player numbers. It might be worth checking from 22:00 onwards to see if the final quest in Dalaran (and the start of Legion) is already available.

The instant noodle soups are already prepared, and more unhealthy sugary drinks than any other time of the year are waiting for the coming days. Although I’ve tested most of the content extensively during the beta, I’m as excited as a tofu schnitzel for the launch of Legion. Yes, there will surely be server issues again, and unfunny idiots will try their DDoS attacks. But hey, that somehow belongs to the launch experience of an expansion. We’ll catch up once I’m level 110 and well-rested…
