With Legion, there are some pets in World of Warcraft that only a few classes can obtain. Alternate characters are a must for collectors.
If you want pets, you must twink
In World of Warcraft: Legion, the identity of the individual classes is meant to be strengthened. This is largely achieved through artifact weapons, but the class halls also contribute to this. However, for fans of pet battles or all pet collectors, this could be a curse, as some of the new pets from Legion are only available in certain class halls as part of their respective campaigns. Overall, there are 4 pets exclusive to the following classes:
- Shamans get the little puppy Snowfang

- Druids receive the “Mini-Ancient” Gruht and the Nightmare Lasher
- Warlocks and Demon Hunters acquire the Hateful Eye
On Twitter, some fans have already asked if it is intended for these pets to be directly bound to the character. The sobering response from Blizzard:
“Yes, hardcore battle pet collectors will need to have several alternate characters to complete their collection.”
There is a little bit of reassurance, though: Not all classes will get their own pet, so one would only have to level up “a handful” of alternate characters.
In plain terms for all collectors: Anyone who wants to have all the new pets will have to acquire several twinks and bring them at least to level 100 and advance the campaign of their respective class a bit.
Mein-MMO says: No matter how you look at it, the necessity to have several classes at a high level is quite a direct occupation therapy for pet battlers. But at least we have an early warning and can start leveling shamans, warlocks, and druids – but which characters should I delete for that? This situation does not really make me happy.
