Blizzard is starting to get serious and is showing more and more videos about the upcoming WoW expansion “Legion”. Get a first taste of the “Harbingers” here.
The backstory of Legion in animated videos
To excite World of Warcraft players a bit and prepare them for the next expansion Legion, Blizzard is coming up with several ideas. It started with 2 comics that tell the first parts of the backstory of Legion. Now the next works are starting, as the WoW developers are releasing a series of short films, similar to what was done for Warlords of Draenor. The series will primarily focus on the development of Medivh, Khadgar, Illidan and his Illidari, as well as Gul’dan.
For a first taste of the short films, a trailer has already been released, which we of course don’t want to withhold from you. Currently, it is only available in English, but should give everyone an impression of what is yet to come in the next weeks.
Even though the trailer reveals few details so far, it seems to center around the seductive power of the Fel and the Burning Legion, which even the most powerful can hardly resist. And the little sequence at the end, with a burning Dalaran, does not bode well for the future of Azeroth.
There is no fixed date for the release of the short films yet, but if Blizzard follows the release of the last addon, we should probably see one of these videos weekly in just a few days.
