A PvP faction in WoW: Legion just for pet battle players. We reveal how you unlock the “Revenge of the Claw” and what benefits it has.
The Patch 7.1 of World of Warcraft: Legion has implemented some game content that is not immediately apparent to everyone. Did you know that there is a completely new PvP faction where you can earn reputation to eventually score a special mount?
However, to unlock the faction “Revenge of the Claw”, you must first own a falcosaur mount. Our guide to obtaining falcosaur pets and mounts reveals how to get these creatures.
Once you have completed one of the quest lines and own a mount, head to the flight point “Sylvan Falls” in the Highmountain area. From the gryphon master, you will swim northwest across the lake, where you will see many druids and the demigoddess Aviana. Now, mount up and speak with Aviana.
As expected, the patroness of all flying beings is not exactly thrilled that you slaughtered the falcosaurs en masse. Nevertheless, she sees goodness in you and allows you to make amends and restore balance: you must kill other players to compensate for what you have done to the falcosaurs.
As a new item, you will receive the Ivory Claw and 500 reputation with the faction “Revenge of the Claw”. This can only be activated in PvP world quests and in the areas of the falcosaurs and transforms you into an Aviana avenger. When you deal killing blows to players in this form, you collect “Mark of the Prey”. Each time you use a Mark of the Prey, it increases your reputation with the faction “Revenge of the Claw” by 100 points.
However, farming the Marks is relatively difficult. The transformation has a 15-minute cooldown. If you die or leave the PvP area, the buff is also removed.
Next to Aviana sits a little raven, who is considered the faction’s quartermaster. The first major goal should be a benevolent reputation, as then you can purchase an “Ivory Feather”. This serves the same purpose as the Claw but has only a 10-minute cooldown and can also be used in battlegrounds and Ashran! This should significantly speed up farming Marks.
As a reward, there is a white Hawkstrider, which closely resembles the mount of Kael’thas from the Terrace of the Magisters. Alternatively, there is also a trinket that temporarily increases your critical strike chance by 50% – but also increases the chance of being critically hit yourself.
Strictly speaking, “Revenge of the Claw” is the first faction solely for pet battlers. What do you think of this concept?
