With Legion, artifact weapons for all classes are coming to World of Warcraft. However, a profession also receives a special piece: an artifact for anglers.
The Powerful Fishing Artifact
One of the core aspects of Legion, the next expansion of World of Warcraft, are the artifact weapons, which exist for every class and specialization. However, a secondary profession also gets such an artifact: The Fishing Rod. The extraordinary fishing rod comes in several different designs, which can presumably be unlocked just like the other weapons through various gameplay content.

When it comes to fishing, there are several artifact powers available. You can either increase the catch chance for certain fish in Legion, teleport directly to the next school, or extend the duration of baits. As a special treat, there are fun features: If you want, you can transform into a fish underwater or deal increased damage to water creatures – very important when being attacked while fishing by lost sharks.
Whether other professions will also get artifacts is currently uncertain, as only fishing really has usable equipment. However, it would make sense to have an artifact for archaeology – because to be honest, what fits better together than artifacts and archaeology?
