With patch 7.3.5, Legendaries will be available for purchase in WoW. We will reveal how much they cost.
The collection of legendary items in World of Warcraft has divided the community since the release of the Legion expansion. While some players are excited about these special items and their powerful properties, the other half condemns them, feeling disadvantaged without the “Best in Slot” Legendary.
Since legendary items have mostly been distributed randomly so far, it can sometimes take a long time to obtain the “correct” item.
Starting with patch 7.3.5, legendary items can also be purchased directly – however, for the resource “Awakening Essences”, which are currently available from emissary chests, daily dungeons, or raids. Normally, Awakening Essences are used to upgrade legendary items to item level 1000.
Legendaries cost a hefty 1000 Essences in patch 7.3.5
With patch 7.3.5, the Essences receive a second purpose: They can be used to purchase a (random) legendary item.
A new, random legendary item costs 1000 Awakening Essences.
The price for an Awakened Titan Essence also increases with patch 7.3.5 – it will then cost 300 Awakening Essences.
Please note that the drop rate of Awakening Essences will be drastically increased with the release of patch 7.3.5. Currently, the drop rate will be multiplied by 6 – where 5 Essences were previously dropped, there will then be 30.
It is also important to mention that the legendary items purchased this way do not affect the drop chance of Legendaries from other sources. The “Bad Luck Protection” will therefore not be reset.
