A video from Korea shows plenty of Murlocs from World of Warcraft, adapted as a children’s song for singing along.
Blizzard repeatedly engages in various promotions with different companies. This time, all fans of the lively Murlocs (and all those who are still in elementary school) should be delighted, as the “Baby Murloc” song is hardly to be surpassed in terms of cuteness.
Baby Murloc hunters become the hunted
What can be seen in the video? Various Murlocs from World of Warcraft experience a “thrilling adventure”, including well-known Murlocs like Murky (Heroes of the Storm), Captain Cookie (WoW), and Finley Mrrgglton (Hearthstone). They go on a hunt and encounter a Naga, who turns the hunt around and scares the Murlocs away. In the end, however, they all make it out safely – after all, it is a children’s song.
Why the video? No specific reasons were given, but the video was likely created in regard to Children’s Day, which takes place in Korea on May 5th.
What is the video based on? The video was created in collaboration with Pinkfong, which is primarily known in Korea for children’s songs, books, and toys. About two years ago, they had a viral YouTube hit with the “Baby Shark Dance”, which achieved well over a billion views.
In World of Warcraft, Murlocs are actually anything but cute and pose a serious threat that terrorizes many settlements. They are known for quickly calling for reinforcements and defeating players through sheer numerical superiority. Only the small “Baby Murlocs” are often found as pets for players that can be utilized in pet battles.
