For Hunter players, new companions will soon be available in World of Warcraft. Patch 9.1.5 brings 3 new types in different colors.
Accidentally pulling extra mobs and having no idea about boss tactics are just two important aspects of any Hunter player. A third is collecting as many different companions as possible. After all, there are hundreds of different wild animals in World of Warcraft that need to be tamed to fill your stable and have a suitable companion for every situation.
How great that in Patch 9.1.5, 3 new animals can be tamed – some of them are even mechanical and will likely appeal to the tinkerers among Hunters.
New Hunter Companions in Patch 9.1.5
Corpseflies: These companions belong to the wasp family, even though they are significantly more disgusting. They visually correspond to the covenant mount of the Necrolords from Patch 9.1 and mainly occur in Korthia so far, as a rare enemy that you can take down daily for relics. With Patch 9.1.5, the corpseflies will be available in more locations – possibly even with one or two rare spawns for particularly nice colors. If one can consider a corpsefly “nice”.
Gromits: These colorful hoppers have only been encountered by players in Korthia so far, where they wander around as harmless critters or must be beaten or collected as part of a daily quest. Gromits belong to the frog family and are also tameable for Hunters with Patch 9.1.5.
They also come in different colors, with several variants already running around in Korthia. Collectors won’t have to search long to get a colorful palette.
Aquilon: The Aquilons originally come from Bastion and are created by the Kyrians. They belong to the family of mechanical companions and will likely appeal especially to Hunters with a penchant for technology. They come in different color variations, with most in the game so far being rather dark since they belong to the Forsaken.
An Aquilon can already be tamed, but only during a one-time quest – soon there will be more options.
Whether Blizzard adds even more new companions remains to be seen, as Patch 9.1.5 is still in an early version on the PTR.
When will these new companions arrive? These companions can be tamed with Patch 9.1.5. While there isn’t an exact release date yet, most informed speculations suggest a release in mid-October. Hunter players will have to wait a few more weeks.
What do you think of the new Hunter companions? Will you add them to your collection immediately? Or would a corpsefly never be allowed in your stable?
