The treasure Lionel causes a headache in World of Warcraft. We reveal how you can help the fish and claim the reward.
In World of Warcraft: The War Within, there are plenty of puzzles to solve and treasures to find again. Many of them just need to be picked up, but others require a bit more effort. One of these puzzle treasures is Lionel. Most people find him rather “accidentally” while flying past.
We’ll tell you how to complete the treasure quest and what the reward is.
Where can you find Lionel? You can find Lionel in the area Island of Thorn. He is located on a small island off the coast at coordinates 41 / 60. You can also see his exact location on this map:
How do you solve the treasure puzzle? When you find the fish, you can give it a shove to push it into the water. Usually, that’s enough for fish puzzles – however, that’s not the case here.
Because Lionel complains that you just kicked him into the water as if he were a ball.
Weakened by your “rescue,” he then demands that you provide him with some food so he can regain his strength.
The food he wants can be found nearby – right on the same island. There you can discover very small crabs called “Plump Snapcrab.” These crabs will show up as gray items in your inventory when picked up but still have a use.
Collect 5 of these crabs and then return to Lionel to offer him the crabs.
After that, Lionel thanks you and leaves a reward that you can pick up. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the reward to spawn – so be patient.
What is the reward? As a reward for your effort, you get the battle pet Sapphire Crab for your collection. In addition, the treasure – once per account – grants a hefty 150 reputation with the faction “Rest of Thornogal.” Therefore, the treasure is worth it even if you don’t collect pets.
