Dracthyr have several reasons to be excited in the next patch of World of Warcraft. There are new classes – and at the same time, an amazing talent.
In Dragonflight, the Dracthyr were introduced as a new race closely tied to the story of the dragonflights. Although they are a new race, they could only choose a single class: the Evoker. Only Dracthyr could become Evokers, and every Dracthyr was necessarily an Evoker.
But that will soon change. Because with the next patch, Dracthyr will be able to choose 6 new classes.
What classes are available to choose from? With patch 11.0.5, Dracthyr will be able to play these 6 classes in addition to the Evoker:
- Hunter
- Rogue
- Priest
- Mage
- Warrior
- Warlock
These are the classes for which restrictions for individual races have already been lifted. Only for Dracthyr, this was not yet the case.
What is the special ability? According to the WoW developers in the latest WoWCast on YouTube, Dracthyr will receive a special new talent for sky soaring. It is called “Squadrons.”
With this, up to 3 Dracthyr can team up and fly in formation. Technically, it seems that it will work like a flight mount with multiple seats, but visually, it is very impressive. Because 3 Dracthyr will fly perfectly in sync, securing their dominance in the air.
When will the patch be released? There is currently no specific date for the release of patch 11.0.5 for World of Warcraft. Since the anniversary of World of Warcraft is typically celebrated in October, it is likely that there are only about 4 to 6 weeks remaining until the update hits the live servers. This will also coincide with the big anniversary event for the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft – and the return of the best dungeon of all time as a new, major raid.
