In World of Warcraft, the Exotic vendor Xur from Bungie’s MMO shooter Destiny makes an appearance in Legion.
The creative minds at Blizzard have provided numerous humorous surprises with plenty of Easter eggs in their games. Several of the NPCs in WoW bear names that are familiar from various games and other areas of the entertainment industry.
The sixth expansion titled “Legion” will apparently not be an exception when it comes to amusing references. For the famous vendor Xur from Destiny makes a spectacular entrance.
Xur’ios brings items related to Destiny
Xur is a mysterious vendor in Destiny, who appears every Friday and brings random exotic items. Players eagerly check his inventory every weekend – as there might be something cool to enhance their characters.
In WoW, a vendor will now make an entry that has clear references to Destiny. In the mage metropolis Dalaran, on August 30th, Xur’ios will appear, who not only has this distinctive name but also bears a resemblance to the original Xur. Additionally, Xur’ios will have a special item every day that should be instantly recognizable to Destiny fans: There will be ‘Gjallar’s Horn’ or ‘Krota’s Shield’.
By the way, in WoW you don’t pay “Xur” with Strange Coins, but with Curious Coins.
