A new machinima is causing a stir. Rarely has a class in World of Warcraft been showcased as perfectly as the Demon Hunter here.
Demon Hunters have a bad reputation in World of Warcraft. They are labeled as a “No Skill” class by many players because they have only a few abilities. Moreover, they are the “Edgelords” of WoW, constantly complaining about how terrible their lives are. “I sacrificed everything! What have you given?” is one of the most popular quotes for WoW memes for a reason.
However, that Demon Hunters can also be damn cool is shown by Ivan Kuzkin on his YouTube channel. There he uploaded the video “Warcraft Demon Hunters” and showcases his entire skill in video editing. Since words hardly describe how cool the video turned out, you better check it out here:
Of course, the clip is filled with much more action than the WoW combat system is, and the graphic splendor of the animations far exceeds the original. But if there were an advertising campaign for the Demon Hunters, this video would definitely have the best chances.
Cortyn says: Actually, I don’t enjoy the Demon Hunter class in World of Warcraft at all; from its lore to its playstyle, it’s just not my thing. But after this brilliant video, I feel tempted to give the Demon Hunter another chance and bash my way through the battlegrounds (and lose mercilessly in the process). It can only be a matter of time before Ivan Kuzkin gets a job offer from Blizzard – at least, I wish him that. The only question remains: When will we get videos for all the other classes?
