The race for the “First Kill” in World of Warcraft is over. Jaina Proudmoore was the first to be defeated worldwide by Method!
It took exactly one week for the race in World of Warcraft to achieve the First Kill of Lady Jaina Proudmoore, the final boss of the Battle of Dazar’alor in mythic mode. The victory went to the European guild Method after more than 300 failed attempts.
Method’s method to success: The players of Method opted for a pure “zerg strategy” in the final phase. This means they ignored mechanics as much as possible and simply raced against the clock to defeat Jaina. This started with the fact that, in a phase where all players are supposed to attack an ice wall, they also focused on the boss to deal additional damage.
However, the element of chance also played a role, as the victory depended on Jaina’s “Ice Meteor” never hitting certain spots. Only then could the entire raid focus completely on damage.
The raid setup of Method looked as follows at the time of victory:
Method wins despite disadvantages: The race for the World First Kill of the final boss of the Battle of Dazar’alor was particularly exciting this time. More than 30 guilds attempted to take down Jaina. Usually, it’s only a handful of guilds. This was mainly because the first 6 bosses were relatively “easy” and only bosses 7, 8, and 9 really posed long blockades for the professionals.
The European guild Method even had to deal with disadvantages, as the Americans not only started earlier but alsoacquired an additional item at level 400+. However, this did not lead to victory in the end.
In any case, an impressive achievement by the guild Method, which once again proved that they belong to the absolute world elite when it comes to competitive gaming in World of Warcraft.
