The allied races in World of Warcraft have received their own story cinematics. Check them out here.
On the PTR for Patch 7.3.5, there are already many game data that will only become relevant with the upcoming WoW expansion “Battle for Azeroth”. A large part of the introductory stories for the allied races is already in the game. Each race will have a few cutscenes that will be played either during the questline to unlock the new races or immediately after character creation.
The colleagues from wowhead have already recorded the various videos, and we certainly want to share them with you.
Spoiler warning: The cutscenes contain plenty of spoilers regarding the story of the allied races.
The Intro of the Void Elves
The Void Elves seek refuge in a dark place where the malevolent magic of the Void (and thus the Old Gods) seeps into the world. Alleria Windrunner speaks some encouraging words during the creation of a new character.
The Cutscenes of the Nightborne
The Nightborne find their way to the Horde, and some videos reveal how that happens. Lady Liadrin visits the First Arcanist Thalyssra. She explains how the Alliance (under Tyrande) would have rejected cooperation. Since the Blood Elves and Nightborne have a similar history, they share many experiences and want to build on that now.
Thalyssra is invited to Silvermoon and meets Lor’themar Theron there. Alleria is also present and asks if she may visit the Sunwell once again after being away for millennia.
During the creation of a Nightborne, Thalyssra explains that the elves of Suramar need to find a new place in the world – at the side of their allies, the Horde.
The Cutscenes of the Lightforged
For Draenei to undergo the process of becoming a true “Lightforged”, they must complete a trial. This is always done in pairs, as Captain Fareeya explains. The candidate T’Paartos needs another partner – and that is where the players are needed.
During the creation of a Lightforged Draenei, it is again Fareeya who finds some words. She points out that one is a weapon of the Light and will use this power against anyone who stands in the way of the allies.
The Intro of the Highmountain Tauren
During the creation of a Highmountain Tauren, it is Mayla who speaks a few words about the traditions of the Highmountain and encourages players to carry these traditions into the world.
Please keep in mind that there may be additional cutscenes or that the existing ones may change, as this content will only be accessible with Patch 8.0.
