With the WoW token, you can now purchase services in Overwatch, Hearthstone, or HotS. Yes, even whole games. But when is this coming to Europe and Germany?
On the night from Monday to Tuesday, the change went live in the USA. With the WoW token, which can be purchased for WoW gold, players in the USA now receive Battle.net credits. Until now, the WoW token could only be used to purchase game time in World of Warcraft, but now the offer is broad.
With this credit, you can purchase card packs in Hearthstone, new heroes in Heroes of the Storm, or loot boxes in Overwatch. You can even acquire Blizzard games like Starcraft or Diablo.
WoW token triggers economic speculation in Azeroth
This has led to prices for the token skyrocketing in North America. Initially, the token cost about 58,000 gold in the USA. This rose throughout yesterday to 115k gold. However, it then flattened out to 72,000.

In Europe, the price was already around 114,000 gold before, and it then increased to 200,000. However, it has now fallen back to 118,000. Meanwhile, the adjusted token is not even live in Europe yet.

The value of the WoW token is not directly determined by players, but rather regulated by an algorithm based on supply and demand. Players hoard these tokens or have already hoarded them in the past.
So there is a bit of economic speculation happening in Azeroth.
When is the WoW token with these features coming to Europe?
When is this going live in Europe?
Many thought the “new” WoW token could go live in Europe today after the reset. But that did not happen.
A community manager from Blizzard said yesterday in the German section of the WoW forums: There is still no date for when this will come to Europe. As soon as they know something, they will let us know.
We will keep you updated.
