A new beta patch for World of Warcraft finally brings the fresh login screen. It’s time to say goodbye to the Legion!
Last night (06/19/2018), a new patch for the beta of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth was deployed. This finally brought the new login screen that players will have to look at when the login servers are acting up.
The background features massive city walls – likely from Undercity – and in front of it, the remnants of a battlefield where Horde and Alliance fought each other. Weapons and armor of the fallen still lie on the battlefield, making it clear what Battle for Azeroth is mainly about: the war between Horde and Alliance.
The colleagues from mmo-champion have already created a small preview video that shows how the scene will look in motion:
What else was included in the patch? Aside from the login screen, the current beta update for Battle for Azeroth has brought much more “little stuff” designed to enhance the atmosphere. Several hundred music tracks have been added to the game. Previously, many areas had to go without background music entirely; now, nearly all zones seem to have atmospheric music!
Fundamentally, these changes are a clear sign that Blizzard has now moved on to fine-tuning and is focusing on little things like last tweaks to balancing and details in the game environment.
However, one might not be completely satisfied with the launch in just under two months. Because some classes will be less enjoyable:
How do you like the new login screen? Are you glad to finally be rid of the demons with the smiling knee pads?
