In World of Warcraft there are several debuffs that can be quite irritating. Especially disorientation is severe. It not only prevents you from casting spells and using abilities but also makes your character run aimlessly back and forth. The good news: Typically, such effects end after a maximum of 10 seconds – but only typically.
The character Scoopdepoop was stuck in this state for a proud 3 days.

What happened? In the World of Warcraft subreddit, the player surgammelmand420 sent out a call for help and linked a video. His character, a member of the Allied Race of Kul Tirans, was stumbling uncontrollably back and forth the whole time. It was also clearly stated in the middle of the screen that the character was “disoriented”.
However, there was no corresponding debuff displayed. Thus, it was impossible to remove the effect.
The community tried to help: In the subreddit, there were plenty of tips and suggestions from other players on how the problem could be resolved. From “Let a Horde player kill you” to “Use the release function”, everything was there. But the character stubbornly remained at the graveyard, stumbling back and forth incessantly.

Game Master brought the rescue: The necessary help only came through a Game Master – nearly three days later. They had to log in with the Kul Tiraner character themselves and manually remove the debuff, allowing Scoopdepoop to finally continue his journey to level 120. From now on, hopefully without invisible debuffs lasting several days. He surely won’t break the level record of 4 hours now.
