WoW PvP Ranking for BfA Patch 8.0.1
MeinMMO has looked into which classes and specializations are particularly strong shortly after the start of the PvP season. For this, we evaluated the data from the official leaderboards of World of Warcraft (as of 07.09.2018 at 14:30).
For the statistics, we examined the 100 players with the current highest PvP rating in Europe and compared which class is represented most frequently.
To the official 3v3 leaderboard of World of Warcraft
For some classes, such as Druid and Rogue, other specializations are represented almost as often as the most frequently chosen one. For such classes, it is sometimes better to play what you can handle well rather than choosing the strongest specialization on paper.
To the official 2v2 leaderboard of World of Warcraft
In the 2v2 arena, the specializations are clearer. The specializations represented here clearly outperform all others.
Note that there was a hotfix that has changed and adjusted many classes and specializations for PvP. The list may change again once the changes take effect.
What rewards are there?
If you put some effort into PvP, great rewards await you. For accumulated conquest points, there was a great reward per week, such as a weapon with item level 345.
You can also effectively gear characters through the arena and quickly supply twinks with new equipment. Additionally, there are transmog items, titles, and mounts to look forward to.
Alliance is more represented than the Horde
In Battle for Azeroth, the conflict between Horde and Alliance is one of the main themes of the expansion. In PvP, the Alliance currently has the upper hand: 54 of the top 100 players in 2v2 are currently Alliance, while in 3v3 it’s even 64.
Have you found friends and really taken on your opponents? Are you perhaps even as a PvE player diligently collecting the rewards? Let us know in a comment!
Discipline Priests are frequently represented in the arena – but also in the open world. And there they are a real plague:
