Housing in World of Warcraft is a great success – if you look at social media. But is that really true? We want to find out.
For just over half a week, World of Warcraft finally has a feature that other MMORPGs have had for years or even decades: housing or player dwellings. Those who have already purchased the upcoming expansion “Midnight” can visit the housing area and work together with their guild or random players on a large neighborhood, realizing the dream of a digital home.
Housing is not a completely separate feature that only exists in the new neighborhood areas: everywhere in Azeroth (and all other worlds), players can earn decorations and furniture, or chop wood to commission craftsmen to create new housing objects. This means that currently, in almost every old area, you will encounter many characters looking for inspiration or just loot for their homes.
Housing – Really strong or no content at all?
If you look at social media, such as the WoW subreddit, on X or in the official forum, you will see many players proudly displaying their homes and enthusiastically discussing the many possibilities the feature offers.
But now we want to know how housing is received by you, our MeinMMO community. Therefore, we have prepared a small survey where you can show us whether you are a fan of housing or if you have a more negative view of the whole thing.
