Some of the best mounts in World of Warcraft can finally be farmed solo. This can be done in just a few minutes a week.
Special mounts have their own charm in World of Warcraft. Especially the rarest ones have the greatest appeal. However, some of the prettiest mounts are difficult to farm. Often, you need a group just to face the respective bosses.
With some bosses, Blizzard has now drastically made it easier for you to farm them.
Which bosses are affected? Three of the major raid end bosses from “Battle for Azeroth” have been changed. These are:
- G’huun (Uldir)
- Jaina Proudmoore (Battle of Dazar’alor)
- N’Zoth (Ny’alotha, the awakened city)
All these bosses had one or more mechanics that would eventually lead to death and were very difficult or impossible to manage solo. For example, Jaina would freeze all characters and then kill them, and N’Zoth would drive heroes insane over time. This no longer happens when facing these bosses alone.
A few of the changes were already implemented with the release of Patch 10.2.7, while others were added by Blizzard through a hotfix.
All bosses that lead up to the end bosses are now also manageable alone.
Which mounts drop from the bosses? Two of the most sought-after mounts are dropped by Jaina and N’Zoth, but only on Mythic difficulty – and only with a very low drop chance of about 1%.
- Jaina drops “Frozen Tideshear,” a massive ice elemental.
- N’Zoth drops the “Allseer of Ny’alotha,” a large flying jellyfish with many eerie eyes.
Apart from the mounts, kills on Mythic difficulty also yield additional rewards, such as titles or achievements – and sometimes even some nice drops that would be great for your next transmog set.
If these raid mounts don’t interest you, there are also many great mounts in the currently active expansion Dragonflight that you can also obtain quite easily.
So if you find yourself bored in WoW, you might want to try your hand at the old raids – maybe you’ll find some interesting rewards there.
