Magic Banana
The magic banana is one of the few items in World of Warcraft that can influence other players – and in a very annoying way. Because the banana causes the next character who steps on it – who would have thought – to fall down and remain in place for a second.
In most cases, this is not a problem at all and only causes the victim to look around frowning and wondering what that was. However, in raids, the banana can have devastating consequences.
If one knows exactly which way a character needs to take, like the main tank, one can place the banana right there and later see how the tank slips and possibly misplaces a boss mechanic. While the tank then panics trying to figure out what just happened, no one will believe him the truth: “There was a banana and I slipped!”
The only catch: Because the banana is so powerful, it has an extremely long cooldown of a whopping 2 hours, or 120 minutes. This makes it impossible to “spam” the banana. But once or twice during the raid night, a well-placed banana can increase the repair costs for the whole group. For the economy! … or something.
Where can I find the Magic Banana? You can obtain the magic banana in Pandaria. It drops from the rare enemy “Bonobos”, which you can find in the Valley of the Four Winds at the Paoquansenke (far northwest of the map). Bonobos has a respawn time of 45 to 60 minutes, so you may have to wait a while until he reappears nearby.
The drop chance is also only a meager 10%, so it may take a while until you can call the banana your own. By the way, it is not a toy, so it doesn’t go into your collection! This means you must obtain the banana with the character that will later use it.
