A highly curious battle took place in World of Warcraft. 40 Paladins wanted to know if they could compete against 40 Summoners.
The time between two expansions in World of Warcraft is usually a bit more relaxed. Everyone plays old content, like the recent Legion Remix or looks for new, absurd tasks. The “boredom” sometimes leads to curious situations, as shown in a battle in Alterac Valley. There was a duel between two groups – one team of 40 Dracthyr Summoners and one team of 40 Paladins.
Paladins win, but Summoners create entire walls
How did the battles go? Played in a total of 5 rounds, which lasted until one side was completely defeated. Those who died could not release their spirit or resurrect until the battle was decided. It was essentially a big game of “Team Deathmatch,” where the actual objective of Alterac Valley – defeating the opposing general – played no role.
Who won? After an initial victory by the Summoners, the Paladins ultimately managed to win the game. At least that’s what two people who were at the event claim.
- “The Summoners won the first round, but mainly because they had more people specializing in healing. After some adjustments and balancing of the teams, the Paladins then won.” – Fimbulvetrn
- “We got pretty wrecked because we had an average item level of 677 and the not-so-smart decision to take the PvP talent that creates a wall after Deep Breath, breaking the line of sight. It looked pretty damn cool, but it cut off our healers and DPS, lmao” – Braefost
- “Let the Paladins win, otherwise they’ll just turn off their Discord server again” – krin132 referring to a “Paladin whining” in the past
The whole chaos was organized by Rextroy, who will surely make a little video out of it in the future. Some WoW players might still know Rextroy, as he has become something of a living legend for constantly finding bugs and exploits that enable absurd achievements – like one-hitting players in PvP while being naked.
