In the MMO Worlds Adrift, players create their own airships. With these airships, they travel from island to island to collect resources and face other players in epic battles. The islands are not separated from each other but are located in a vast game world that you must traverse. Items you leave somewhere will stay there until someone interacts with them. This creates a world shaped by what happens in it.

In the launch trailer, you can see the various aspects of the game in motion:
- You can move through the world with a grappling hook and explore it.
- You gather resources and create airships.
- You fight for resources with other players.
- With your airship, you travel from island to island. The islands are created by players using the Worlds Adrift Creator.
