The long-drifting Military MMO World of Warships is entering a Closed Beta.
World of Warships is the nautical sister game to World of Tanks and World of Warplanes. While the competitor “War Thunder” combines everything into one game, Wargaming focuses on three separate games. World of Warships is the youngest of the trio and has so far still been in an Alpha phase. Now, they are taking the plunge and will begin a Closed Beta on March 12.
The developers will provide ambitious captains with 5 maps and 50 warships. The ships will mainly focus on Japanese and American cruisers, battleships, and destroyers.
Sign-ups for the Beta are set to start on March 12 and will follow a “first come, first served” principle. They will start and stop the sign-ups when they are overwhelmed.
You will get an opportunity to access the Closed Beta play testing by applying through an open form, which is going to be published on the very day of the Closed Beta launch. After reaching a certain number of applications, we will disable the form to stop the flood of requests.
From March 12 onwards, we should hear significantly more about World of Warplanes. With the start of the Closed Beta, they will lift the NDA, the non-disclosure agreements. Players will then be able to post screenshots and videos.
Here is a trailer, and this way goes to the website.
