The fantasy MMORPG World of Warcraft calls for the “Selfie Contest”, asking players to show themselves naked in the enemy capital.
The selfie feature in WoW is quite controversial and is often cited by former players as a sign of the decline of their former game with the motto: “What has become of WoW?”
However, Blizzard seems to appreciate this strange in-game function and has announced a contest. Players are to recreate the image we’ve included as the title image: a “naked” player (to save on repair costs) is in the enemy’s capital getting beaten up by the guards while taking a selfie. This motif will last for the next six and a half days, after which it will change and another motif must be recreated.
You can win a trip for 2 to Blizzard, there are codes, iPhones, all that sort of thing. Details about the contest, where you need to send your selfie and so on, can be found here.
