World of Warcraft: Legion will be released on August 30, but you can already pre-order the expansion for Blizzard’s record MMO. But which edition is the right one and what does the pre-order offer?
If you want to pre-order World of Warcraft: Legion, you can choose between the Standard Edition, the Digital Deluxe Edition, and the even more luxurious physical Collector’s Edition. But which package is right for which type of player? We have looked at all the sales versions of Legion and present them here in detail.

All Editions at a Glance
The following three editions of Legion can already be pre-ordered now. As a bonus for early birds, there will be the chance to play a demon hunter even before the release of Legion. However, only one demon hunter per player and realm can be active, and you must already have a level 70 hero roaming on the corresponding realm. Blizzard will announce the exact date of the early access later.

The Standard Digital Edition
This version of Legion includes the game with all features, including the Demon Hunter as a new hero class, an increased level cap to 110, and the option to immediately jump into the game at level 100. The Standard Edition costs 44.99 euros in the BattleNet shop.
The Digital Deluxe Edition
Here we are already offered more. For 59.99 euros, in addition to the game itself, the following features are included:
- Illidari Felmount as a mount: The Illidari stole these fierce beasts from the Legion’s kennels, so you can now ride one of these creatures.
- Pet Knurps: You get this little Felmount pup as a mini pet.
- The Felmount is also available as a mount in Heroes of the Storm!
- For Starcraft 2, there are portraits of Gul’dan and Illidan in Protoss style.
- Demon Hunters also appear in Diablo 2, so you will also receive the appropriate wings, blindfolds, and horns as transmog items for that game.
The Physical Collector’s Edition
This is a real box with additional physical content. In addition to the contents of the Deluxe Edition, there are additional items:
- A bound art book, fully in color and full of artwork from the game.
- A set consisting of a DVD and Blu-ray that give a behind-the-scenes look at Legion.
- The complete soundtrack of Legion on CD.
- A special mouse pad in the Legion design.

The Collector’s Edition is unfortunately currently sold out on Amazon, but it is available on the UK Amazon site for the hefty price of 64 pounds.
