A visit to the cinema for the upcoming Warcraft movie could be worth it, as there are in-game goodies for newcomers and veterans.
Weapon skins and all expansions for free with a cinema visit
On May 26, 2016, the long wait is over, and the film Warcraft: The Beginning finally comes to German cinemas – even two weeks before it can be seen in America. As reported by mmo-champion, the “rewards” for the cinema visit have now been announced on the French website of Kinopolis. Accordingly, all players of World of Warcraft can look forward to a range of rewards.
There will be four different weapon skins, all relating to important characters from the film. Alliance players can look forward to a sword and shield in a distinct Stormwind style.
Horde players, on the other hand, can look forward to an axe styled after Durotan and a staff inspired by Gul’dan.
For those who have never dipped into World of Warcraft before, the code essentially provides a “starter pack”. Because in addition to the weapon skins, there is the complete game including the “Warlords of Draenor” expansion for free. To ensure that players can immediately dive into Azeroth, a full month of game time is added on top.
According to current information, it seems that the rewards will only work with a “fresh” account, but this has not been definitively confirmed yet. Even then, veterans could also enjoy the weapon skins, as multiple WoW accounts can be registered on a Battle.net account, all sharing a common wardrobe with “Legion”.
It is also still uncertain whether these rewards will actually be available in all countries. It is assumed that such codes will be distributed during cinema visits in Germany, but official confirmation is still pending.
