A dataminer found new shinies of these Kanto and Johto Pokémon, from the 1st and 2nd generation, in Pokémon GO .
The past few days have been exciting for Pokémon GO fans. First, the trainers received a mysterious event announcement, in which Niantic speaks of a Kanto event starting on April 10. This already provided a lot of discussion in the community.
Subsequently, dataminer Chrales explained that there are shiny changes in the code. He showed a screenshot and stated that there will be a major reveal on Sunday evening.
Sprites for these Shiny Pokémon now in the game
In his stream on Sunday evening, dataminer Chrales from the Pogo-Dev Team showed what the shiny rumors are about. Over 2000 people tuned in as Chrales displayed which new shiny sprites have now been added to Pokémon GO. These are some!
The fact that the sprites are now in the game means for you: You still cannot find these shinies in the wild. It is said that Niantic just needs to “flip the switch” to release them. The preparations are therefore made. However, when they will be activated in the game and released into the wild cannot be said at this time.
As Chrales explained, some sprites of the monsters from the 1st generation are missing. A few like Charizard or Pidgeotto are missing, although other monsters from the corresponding family like Charmeleon or Pidgey are available as shiny.
