Tyler1 won at the Streamer Awards 2024 by QTCinderella. But not for best streamer for League of Legends, but as the best chess player. The news reached him when he had just lost 3 games in a row in LoL. You can imagine the reaction. Additionally, two-time winner Asmongold lost his title as MMORPG streamer of the year to Sodapoppin (WoW).
Who is Tyler1?
- Tyler1 has been the biggest streamer for LoL on Twitch for years. In the past, he could only play Draven, but now he has impressed in all positions and is considered a master.
- In contrast to the calm and composed German top streamer in LoL, NoWay4U, Tyler1 is an impulsive person and really goes off on Twitch. The muscle man loves to insult everything and everyone when he is in a rage. He especially rants against Riot.
- But behind the angry powerhouse (5’6″) lies a thoughtful soul. This year, he discovered chess on Twitch and streamed it for 73 hours.
Tyler1 wins 3 awards in 3 years, but this time for the “wrong” game
Here is the award he just won: To the surprise of many, Tyler1 was nominated in 2024 for the category “chess” and won against the Botez twins, Anna Cramling, and GothamChess.
Tyler1 had already won the award for MOBA streamer of the year in 2023 and 2022. However, this category was no longer available in 2024.
QTCinderella said about his nomination that it wasn’t about the “best chess player” but rather about entertaining streamers.

How did he react? Tyler1 was alerted by his chat about winning the chess award, but said he “doesn’t give a damn” about it.
He was currently in a “3 game losing streak in LoL.” He could promise people he didn’t give a crap, it couldn’t matter less to him.
Well, that’s what you get when you make a joke and nominate Tyler1 for a chess award.
Sodapoppin beats Asmongold, insults everyone first
What about MMORPG? Sodapoppin defeated Esfand and two-time winner Asmongold for best MMORPG streamer. Sodapoppin celebrated a triumph with WoW Classic.
As Asmongold noted, none of the 4 nominees were present at the award ceremony.
In his acceptance speech, Sodapoppin graciously thanked everyone who helped him beat Zach (Asmongold) and his YouTube viewers. He deserved the award anyway. He has been playing WoW for a long time and is very good at it.
Then he repeatedly noted who could go screw themselves and wished everyone a nice day.

No German streamers were nominated for any awards.
Due to the switch to YouTube or Kick, some former winners like xQc or Ludwig were absent in 2024.
