The Western MMORPG Wild West Online aims to offer you many activities in a large world, including treasure hunting.
According to current information, Wild West Online is set to be released later this year. The magazine PC Gamer was able to see a new version of the online game – and even participated in a treasure hunt. In a video, the tester documents his experiences and shows where the game still has its issues.
Find the treasure and bring it to safety!
The highlight of the video is the search for a treasure. This is one of the activities that await you in the game. In the towns, you will find NPCs selling treasure maps. Once you own one, the approximate location of the treasure will be marked on your world map. Now you travel there to search for the hidden chest.
Once you have found it, you will be marked as the owner of a treasure. This alerts other players that you are carrying gold, which of course attracts the attention of bandits who will ambush you to take the treasure from you.
There is still much development work to be done
So it won’t be easy to bring the gold to the bank. However, if you succeed, you will get money with which you can buy new clothes, hats, and better weapons. The video shows such a treasure hunt, which also reveals that Wild West Online is still in a very early stage of development. The world already looks very atmospheric and pretty, but it is still empty. The developers plan to incorporate wild animals and many things to discover.
Also visible are placeholder objects and missing textures. So there is still a lot to do before the MMORPG can be released as planned at the end of the year. Hopefully, many more activities will also be included that keep the adventures in the large world exciting and varied.
