There is a sign of life from the Western MMO Wild West Online (PC). A whimsical gameplay trailer presents a mix of Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption. The trailer shows the hunt for a wanted criminal. Furthermore, there are already pre-order packages available.
Imagine there is an MMO that combines the open world of Skyrim with the gritty Wild West setting of Red Dead Redemption and is even coming to PC. This is the game Wild West Online aims to be.
And if the first gameplay video is to be believed, Wild West Online has a good chance of becoming a worthy competitor to Rockstar’s western game Red Dead Redemption 2.
Wild West Online – Bandit or Bounty Hunter?
In the video for Wild West Online, you can see among other things the character creation and the hunt for a wanted bandit.
You first select the villain via a wanted poster and then track him based on the last known locations in the free, open world. If you catch the scoundrel, you get a bounty, and your good reputation as a lawman increases.
Alternatively, you can become a bandit yourself and rob banks or trains. Then your bad reputation increases, and eventually, there will be a wanted poster for you. Other players can then legally hunt you down for a reward.
Wild West Online – Early Access Founder Packages for Alpha and Beta
If your virtual trigger finger is already itching, you can be happy. Because in summer 2017, the first alpha for Wild West Online is set to start. Those who purchase certain founder packages can get started there. However, there are also less expensive packages with beta access that are set to start in fall. The full game is expected to be released in December 2017.
