Capcom has introduced a new product in their E-Store. The sword pillows from Monster Hunter World could soon go on sale if enough people pre-order.
What’s going on at Capcom? As part of the special “Limited Request Projects,” a new product has appeared in Capcom’s e-shop. It is about Dakimakura pillows in the shape of swords from Monster Hunter.

The designs of the pillows are based on the great swords “Red Wing” and “Giant Jawblade” and are about 1.5 meters long. They also have a solid core and can actually be swung like real swords.
However, these good pieces have a hefty price. The pre-orders in Capcom’s e-store are a hefty 32,400 yen, which corresponds to about 258€.

The pillows will only go on sale if enough pre-orders are made within a certain time frame.
What are Dakimakura? These “hugging pillows” come from Japan and are closely associated with Otaku culture. Normally, these large pillows are covered with images of anime and video game characters, which are rarely suitable for all ages.

This way, fans can cuddle live with their waifus and husbandos and fall asleep together with them.
While this may be less true for Capcom’s pillows, I can certainly imagine epic pajama parties and battles with these Monster Hunter swords.
