In World of Warcraft, two new allied races are coming soon. With Patch 8.1.5, the Zandalari trolls will join the Horde and the Kul Tiran will join the Alliance. However, you will first need to gain the appropriate reputation. You are currently farming that faster.
How do I gain reputation faster? At the moment, there are several events that increase your earned reputation. Since the last server restart, the weekly world quest event has been active, granting you 50% more reputation from world quests.
Additionally, it is currently the Darkmoon Faire. Anyone who rides the carousel at the fair will receive a buff that increases earned reputation by an additional 10% for up to 60 minutes. Alternatively, you can buy and wear Darkmoon hats.
In addition, there are contracts that you can receive from scribes. These grant you a small reputation boost with the chosen faction for completing any world quest.
All these buffs can stack, except for the “Yay!” buff and the Darkmoon hat, of which only one can be active at a time.
Why do I need to hurry? The Darkmoon Faire is only available until Saturday, March 9th. So you have the chance to gain a lot of reputation only until then.
The world quest event will not end until March 13th. Since Patch 8.1.5 will also be released on March 13th, this is not a problem. However, it also means that you have only a few days left to gather the required reputation.
You need these factions for the new allied races: If you want to unlock the Zandalari trolls or the Kul Tiran, you must have exalted reputation with certain factions:
- For the Kul Tiran, you need reputation with the Proudmoore Admiralty (Tiragarde Sound)
- For the Zandalari trolls, you need reputation with the Zandalari Empire (Zuldazar)
Once you have the required reputation, you only need to fulfill the other requirements in Patch 8.1.5.
If you want to try both races now, you can play them on the PTR. Patch 8.1.5 is currently being tested there.
Bonus also useful for old allied races
If you started later or haven’t been interested so far, you might also be missing the first allied races that were newly added with Battle for Azeroth: Dark Iron Dwarves (Alliance) and Mag’har Orcs (Horde).
For both races, you also need reputation, which you can gain faster with the current events. You need reputation with your respective war faction, the 7th Legion for the Alliance or the Honorbound for the Horde.
