In Fortnite: Battle Royale selected players receive a personal recap video for Season 6. But how is the video created and why doesn’t every player receive one?
What are the personal recap videos? Some Fortnite players are currently receiving personal recap videos. Previously, recaps for each season were provided only in plain text form. These season recaps presented what happened in the last season of Fortnite in numbers and statistics.
In Season 6, Epic made a significantly greater effort and created a personal video with the user’s highlights for many players. For instance, Reddit user Jomanderisreal reported that he received a video.
It shows among other things his favorite emote and weapons and how often he had gone into battle with his favorite pet Bonesy.
Requirements for the videos
Why don’t all players receive the video? However, not all players received such a video. Only those who meet the following requirements can enjoy the personal recap video:
- You had to own the Battle Pass in Season 6
- Completed at least 20 weekly challenges in Season 6
- Subscribed to the Epic newsletter
Can I still qualify retroactively? The Battle Pass and the 20 challenges from Season 6 are no longer available after the start of Season 7. However, the missing newsletter can still be subscribed to.
Under the link provided here, you can sign up on the official Fortnite page. The newsletter subscription option is located at the very bottom, behind the yellow button “Subscribe to Fortnite News”. However, you must have logged in to the site with your Epic account first.
I just subscribed to the newsletter, where is my video? According to Epic, it may take a few days for your personal recap video to be ready. So, please be patient and also check your spam folder.
