Rebirth Online
Genre: MMORPG | Developer: Caret Games | Platform: PC | Release Date: August 3, 2020 (Early Access) | Model: Free2Play
What kind of game is this? Rebirth Online has been in Early Access since 2020. It visually resembles Bless Online and delivers the usual content of the genre including an open world for hundreds of players, four playable classes, crafting, and various PvP modes.
How is Rebirth Online doing? The release of Rebirth Online was disastrous. One day after release, the MMORPG had only 10% positive ratings, and now it’s around 41%. Many players are upset that the title is tailored to mobile platforms; both the graphics and gameplay feel like a mobile title.
This accusation comes from nowhere: Parallel to this, Rebirth M exists, which likely served as a template for Rebirth Online. It has been available on mobile platforms since 2017.
That’s why I believe Rebirth Online will die: Player numbers have now fallen below Alexander Leitsch’s predictions from 2022. The title currently has only 10 players on average, compared to 71 two years ago.
Since the mobile version is performing better than the PC version, I agree with my predecessor that the title won’t last much longer. The PC version will have too few players willing to invest money in it. Therefore, the development studio might soon scrap the PC version and focus only on the mobile version.
