Britaria (formerly Legends of Aria)
Genre: MMORPG | Developer: Moonglow Studios (Legends of Aria: Citadel Studios) | Platform: PC, Mobile | Release Date: TBA (Legends of Aria: July 8, 2020) | Model: Free2Play
What kind of game is this? Legends of Aria focused on many freedoms, such as a huge fantasy world, a player-controlled economy, and a classless system with many skills. The MMORPG was inspired by models such as Ultima Online. The game is no longer available on Steam.
Now the title is being reborn under the name Britaria. The development team at Moonglow Studios promises that we can conquer land and build virtual houses in the title. There will be over 35 trainable skills and several classes such as thieves, crafters, or mages.

How is Legends of Aria currently doing? Even before the death of the game was finally sealed, an NFT company bought the rights to the MMORPG. The company plans to sell NFTs in the game to make money.
For example, there will be characters that players can buy to use in the game. They will have unique perks that allow faster access to the endgame.
The game is now being developed under the name Britaria. The MMORPG is set to be released not only for PC but also for mobile. The release was planned for the end of 2023, but since mid-2023 we haven’t heard anything new about the MMORPG.
That’s why I believe Britaria will die: After Legends of Aria failed, I think Britaria will crash hard. For half a year, there has been no news about the MMORPG, although the release was planned for the end of 2023.
Additionally, NFTs are off-putting to most players, even in the MyMMO community. You made that clear to us in the comments of another NFT article. Therefore, I expect that the title will not find much resonance with players even if it still gets released.
In this tip, I am of course banking on Britaria being officially released or scrapped in 2024. Since there has been no news for half a year, I tend to expect the latter.
