Where Winds Meet is a game that already offers a lot of content. Soon, the free-to-play title will receive its first major update in the West and shows a small roadmap of what you can look forward to.
What kind of update is this? In a post on x.com, the developers share a roadmap for December 2025. This shows that players can not only look forward to the mobile version on another platform, but also that you will soon receive a large chunk of new content.
Because on December 11, 2025 (depending on the region December 12, exact start times are not yet known), the RPG hit will receive its first major content update. This will include:
- A new region: The Roaring Sands (German name not yet known)
- Two new bosses: Flussmeister and Feng Ruzhi
- Two new time-limited activities
In addition, the developers share what will be added to the game shortly afterward.
What the December roadmap brings for Where Winds Meet
What content is still coming to the game? The shared roadmap also shows further updates that are to be released shortly after the major patch. So you can expect the following new features:
- On December 14, the Velvet Shade will be made accessible, which you could already get to know in the story in Kaifeng.
- On December 21, there will be a new sword trial and new content for the Hero’s Realm.
- On December 30, there will be a fireworks festival for New Year’s Eve and the turn of the year.
Moreover, there should be smaller adjustments and types of content beyond that. However, these are not listed in the roadmap. The post only refers to December, so it remains unclear whether there will be a larger update in January as well.
The Chinese version is significantly ahead of the global variant, so the associated timeline can give a rough idea of what to expect in the near future and at what rough intervals updates will be released.
With the Velvet Shadows, another of the 11 sects currently in the game will be made accessible. Like many of the sects, it focuses mainly on role-playing and emphasizes relationships and romances.
