What tools are available in the character editor? The editor of Where Winds Meet allows you to extensively customize your character at the beginning of your adventure. During character creation, you can choose from various templates whether you prefer a realistic character style or a sleek, polished style. Depending on your selection, facial features and skin texture will change.
In addition to classic sliders for different parts of the face and some pre-made presets, there are also two ways to let the game create a design for you.

What are the two features? The character editor of Where Winds Meet has two very special features that could also appear in other games in the future.
- The first feature allows you to upload a photo of your face and create a character that resembles you as closely as possible. To do this, you need to take the photo as centered and frontal as possible so that the AI can best recognize your features.
- In the second option, you use your microphone to read aloud sentences dictated by the game. The game then creates a character suggestion based on the sound of your voice and your way of emphasizing. So your character will look like how you sound.
You can adjust both results afterward if you don’t like something or want something different. The face created by the game can thus only be the basis for your character.
What can be changed then? With your template, you can freely place, rotate, and combine various tattoos and makeup designs on the face. Additionally, you have the option to save, share, or import designs from others. This way, you can help each other create cool designs.
You can also view your character in different clothing and armor sets in the editor to see if you like how they look. However, if you notice something in the game that bothers you, you can also adjust your avatar again. The first adjustment has always been free so far; for further adjustments, you will need to purchase a customization in the real-money shop.
Some things will come later
What limitations does the editor have in particular? While the editor gives you a lot of freedom with the face, you have little room for the rest of the body. Although you can slightly adjust your figure, those who expect similarly detailed sliders as with the face will unfortunately be disappointed. However, you can freely adjust your skin color.
A downside is that you cannot initially choose your hair color. You will have to settle for dark brown to black hair. Later, you will have the option to buy different hair colors. Be careful with this, as they are rare items that can be depleted. Some hair colors are also tied to hairstyles that you can unlock in the game or purchase through the shop.
