Role-playing hit Where Winds Meet has been released in China longer than it has in the West. A timeline of patches shows what still awaits you.
What kind of timeline is this? Where Winds Meet has been playable in China since December 27, 2024. Since then, there have been numerous patches that have brought new features to the already extensive game.
Boarhat.gg has created a timeline with all patches from version 1.2 to the current version 2.2 in China, detailing what was included in them. It also gives a hint about the order in which we will receive new content in our global version.
What are the highlights of the previous patches? Among the new features are mainly lots of new outfits, skins, and mounts, but also new areas and features. You can look forward to the following highlights:
- Huge world expansions
- Deeper faction features
- Social events & mini-games
- More freedom in character customization – more outfits, hairstyles, and the ability to change body type
- New access to sects
- Ongoing story, which concluded its first major narrative arc in patch 2.1
As content has already been released in China, the developers are significantly more flexible with the release in the global version, making it possible that some updates may be combined or include additional content that also appears in China simultaneously with a newer update.
Nevertheless, the timeline of the Chinese updates provides a good orientation for what still awaits you. What was included in the previous updates can be found in the following overview.

Will the updates come to us as well? Unfortunately, this cannot be answered definitively, as there is no comprehensive official roadmap for the global version. However, the timeline does at least provide a rough idea of what we can still expect in the future and in what approximate order. However, what we will receive in our version when is harder to predict based on that.
And whether we will actually receive all the content as it exists in the Chinese version is currently also unpredictable.
