What kind of tool is this? The desktop widget is expected to become a future program for Where Winds Meet, which will be integrated into the game with the big update on December 11. The tool has been available in the game under the event tab since December 10, even though it is not yet active.

What can the desktop widget do? The new desktop widget for Where Winds Meet shows version updates, friend status, limited events, daily energy status, local weather, gallery highlights, and more.
So it’s a small companion for Where Winds Meet that aims to provide players with information that is otherwise only available in-game, even without starting the game.
According to an in-game message, the desktop widget can only be used in combination with the new app from Where Winds Meet. Whether it will work properly on PC or only on mobile is still unclear.
What about the Companion App? Players of Where Winds Meet have created their own program called “Where Winds Meet Companion App,” which provides players with guides and assistance. This tool is not from the official developers, but purely community-driven.
The tool is easily accessible online via the website wwmcompanion.dev and does not require separate installation. However, it does not have the features mentioned above of the official desktop widget and is more of a compact guide site for the title rather than an app that is truly connected to your character.
Thus, the new desktop widget from Where Winds Meet allows players to check on their character and the world without logging in. It becomes exciting when you can also do various things there that help your character progress, making the tool more than just a showcase into the Jianghu.
