What kind of game is Where Winds Meet? Where Winds Meet is an action RPG set in an open world during the 10th century in China. In the era of the Ten Kingdoms, players can take on various roles and use Wuxia martial arts to take down their opponents.
The game is said to offer enormous player freedom as you explore the vast world and uncover mythical as well as historical secrets. Your own moral code and deep decisions are expected to play a significant role.
What exactly the game is, is difficult to summarize briefly, as it combines extensive single-player content with MMO elements and is supposed to offer a huge range of gameplay components.
When was the release of Where Winds Meet? Where Winds Meet was released on November 14, 2025, here in the West for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and official launcher) and PS5. It will also be released for Android and iOS devices on December 12 at 01:00 CET. Since December 2024, it has already been playable in China. On which platforms can you play? Where Winds Meet will be available on PC (Steam, Epic Games), PS5, as well as Android and iOS.
How much does Where Winds Meet cost? Where Winds Meet will be free to play. However, there will be an in-game shop with microtransactions.
Does Where Winds Meet have gacha mechanics? As far as is known, Where Winds Meet has gacha mechanics, but only for cosmetic items and not for things that provide advantages in the game.

In which languages is the game available? You can play the game in German, English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. The audio is in English.
Can you pre-register for the mobile variant? Yes, starting from November 14, 2025, you can pre-register for it and then play on your mobile devices starting from December 12.

All about content, weapons, classes, and gameplay
Is Where Winds Meet an MMORPG? Not directly. It is more of an extensive single-player game with MMO elements and multiplayer content.
What features is Where Winds Meet supposed to offer? Where Winds Meet has a truly ambitious and enormous range of different content and gameplay elements. Here are a few examples that we were able to try out in our beta test:
- Dynamic day/night cycle with changing seasons and special events
- Action-packed combat system with parries, dodges, counters, stagger bar, and a variety of weapons
- Wuxia abilities such as telekinesis, slow-motion attacks, or precise acupuncture strikes
- Extensive main story complemented by numerous side quests
- Freely selectable controls in MMORPG or action RPG style
- Diverse profession system with roles such as doctor, architect, bodyguard, musician, or speaker
- Building reputation and relationships with hundreds of NPCs
- Guild and union system, private chat rooms, optional global chat
- Group raids and repeatable coop events
- Housing and building system similar to Minecraft
- Co-op exclusive missions for playing together
- Interactive animals, including cats that offer puzzles
- In-depth progression system with many development possibilities
- Classic MMO content such as dungeons, world bosses, events
What stands out, in particular, is the sheer number of features and the ability to interact with NPCs via AI chat boxes. Through this, you can conduct entire conversations relatively freely with existing NPCs, build relationships, and greatly influence your environment.

Is there a character editor? Yes, you can extensively customize your character in Where Winds Meet. You can adjust facial features, body shape, hairstyles, skin color, and many small details like eye shape, scars, or makeup.
Is there a campaign? Yes, there is a story that is supposed to offer around 100 hours of gameplay. You can play it solo or in coop.
What kind of world does Where Winds Meet offer? Where Winds Meet takes place in an open world that is inspired by China in the era of the Ten Kingdoms, and upon release will be divided into the two vast regions of Qinghe and Kaifeng.
Can you adjust the difficulty? Yes, there are various difficulty levels to choose from.
Is there time-limited content? Yes, there are also contents that are behind time barriers. These time barriers depend on when you created your character and are not server-bound. You can therefore only complete certain content within specific time intervals and then have to wait until the time barrier is over.
What weapons are there in Where Winds Meet? At launch, there will be seven main weapons:

What classes are there? In Where Winds Meet, you can join 11 different sects. These are essentially a combination of guilds and your class. You can switch between them at any time by leaving your current one and joining the new one. You can also return and continue your progress.

All about multiplayer, coop, and crossplay
Can the game be played in multiplayer? Yes, you can play with up to 4 players in coop and also participate in various multiplayer content. There are also guilds and unions that you can join.
Is there crossplay? Yes, you can play cross-platform with your friends. This applies to both PC and PS5 as well as iOS and Android. You can therefore play with players on all available platforms.
What multiplayer modes are there? You can play the game either in single-player, coop with up to 4 players, or in MMO mode, where you can participate in various content.
