In Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS, Android, Switch & Xbox One) the start date of Season 6 is finally known. It starts next week. Until then, you can actively level up and catch up on past challenges, as a bonus XP event is running.
When does Season 6 start? After a long time without news, Epic has finally revealed the start date via Twitter. Season 6 begins on September 27, 2018.
When does Season 5 end? The current Season 5 will run until September 26, according to the current timer in the game. This fits with the start date of the next season. However, the timer previously indicated September 24.
How long do I have to complete the challenges of Season 5? If the timer in the game is correct, you should still have time until September 26, 2018. Here you can find all collected weekly tasks as well as the locations of the road trip bonus stars and banners.
Can I still get the Season 5 items when Season 5 is over? Unfortunately no, if you haven’t unlocked certain skins and items from the Battle Pass by the end of the season, you probably will never get them again. So stay on it!
Only exception: If you already have the Drift or Ragnarök skins, you can unlock the additional style options retroactively, as you only need XP for this.
Bonus XP Event and the Season Finale
Is there anything special for the season end? Officially, Epic has announced a large bonus XP event. You will get 400 percent more experience points in the game. This way, you can level up the skins even better. However, the event only lasts until September 24, 2018.
What happens at the end of Season 5? So far, the end phase of Season 5 has been quite tame. Only the space cube rolled through the landscape, leaving anti-gravity zones behind and almost killed Ninja.
Most recently, the cube tipped into the lake at Loot Lake, which is now purple and works like a trampoline.
Fans suspect that something big will happen soon, and a dark mirror dimension may emerge where evil versions of familiar skins can be found.
What comes in Season 6? The theme of Season 6 is not yet known. Fans speculate on a dark alternative dimension with dark mirror images of the known outfits. That there will be a Halloween event in October is also considered quite certain.
Currently, there is no information on a new map for Fortnite or map changes.
