This year’s E3 had many highlights and pleasant surprises for fans of the entire gaming scene. With gripping and visually stunning trailers, new games were announced that will soon be available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
What was your personal highlight of E3 2016?
For the following poll, we have selected a few highlights that particularly stuck in our memory, were featured on Mein-MMO.de, and had high click rates. Simply click on your highlight and find out how other readers voted. Below the poll, we briefly summarize the standout games.
Highlights of the EA Event
- Battlefield 1 – the World War shooter with stunning graphics and gripping multiplayer battles. In the presented trailer, many shooter fans likely gasped in amazement. The action-packed trailer with its impressive graphics raises great hopes for Battlefield this year – which was also underlined by the large-scale multiplayer battle following the event.
- FIFA 17 with the new Journey mode and major gameplay changes. EA Sports pulled a big surprise during E3: For the first time, the FIFA series will include a story mode. Additionally, the new Frostbite engine provides impressive visuals and enables a multitude of gameplay improvements. Fans of virtual football have every reason to be excited.
Highlight of the Bethesda Conference
- ESO “One Tamriel” – The new update, in which the level restrictions are partially lifted. In our poll, we have also included this E3 revelation. One Tamriel grants ESO fans enormous freedoms that many players have long been waiting for.
Highlights of the Ubisoft Conference
- For Honor – In co-op mode through the chaos of a massive war. This melee game has been eagerly awaited since the last E3. The trailers now shown have unleashed true fireworks of action, brutality, and visual splendor. Something big is coming our way.
- Ghost Recon “Wildlands” – Stealth missions for strategists – In co-op mode with up to 4 players. This game was only revealed to the public a few days before E3 with a reveal trailer. In a short time, it has captured the interest of many and could become a blockbuster of the future with its great graphics and exciting gameplay.
- The Division: Underground and Survival expansion. Ubisoft and Massive have released information and visuals for not one, but directly two updates. Especially the trailer for the Survival expansion brings hope and excitement for the future of The Division.
Highlights of the Sony Press Conference
- God of War – Huge game world and spectacular battles against boss monsters. With a breathtaking trailer for God of War, Sony kicked off their press conference. This gameplay trailer is a must-see for any gaming fan. A clear highlight of the entire E3 event.
- Days Gone brings hordes of zombies to the PS4 – Sony conjured up a zombie survival game during their E3 press conference: They first presented a reveal trailer that captured the dark atmosphere of this game. At the end of the event, they unveiled the gritty action in Days Gone: The protagonist fled from countless zombies and took them down one by one with his gun. Definitely a highlight for zombie fans!
- Death Stranding – The new Kojima project featuring “The Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus. This was THE surprise of the Sony press conference. Now we know what the legendary game designer Kojima is working on with Reedus. What the game is actually about is not known. However, this announcement is a significant cause for joy for many fans.
